Science and the Bible

There are many scientific facts recorded in the King James Version of the Holy Bible written thousands of years ago, but were “discovered” only recently by scientists.

• There is a big variety in stars (I Corinthians 15:41).

• The earth is spherical, not flat.  Isaiah 40:22 calls the earth a “circle,” and Job 26:7 says the earth hangs on nothing. 

• Rivers run into seas, and the water cycle (rivers return from where they came) (Ecclesiastes 1:7).

• Wind has weight (Job 28: 25).

• Mountains are under the ocean (Jonah 2: 5-6).

• Proverbs 17:22: “A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones.” In the last few years, medical researches have “discovered" this fact.

• The Germ Theory, Quarantines and Sanitation:

*Quarantine (Numbers 5:2-4 & Deut.  23:10).

*Waste Disposal (Deut.  23: 12-14, Lev. 11:33, 13: 47-58).

*Wound, skin, discharge precaution (Lev. 15: 2-11 & 17:4).
